You will have to collect the following items:

1. Small milk carton this will be your body. ( you can use one from the cafeteria but wash it out before you use it)

2. 4 circular items to be used for wheels.

3. 2 straws that will be used as an axle.  Place your tooth picks inside the straws and attach your milk carton to the two straws.

4. 2 long tooth picks that can be used to support the wheels.  You can attach your wheels to the ends of the tooth picks by any means necessary.

5. Your choice of engines:  Balloon or Rubber Band ( you have to come up with some ideas on how to use them as engines but both methods work.

You are able to make changes to the material that can be used but have to check with me first.  To beat your opponent you have to use your brain to make the most from the least amount of materials.

    After you have collected the items need you will have to assemble your race car.  You have to draw what your vehicle will look like and then build it using the suggested materials.  We will have time trials one week from the start of this assignment.  Good luck to all and let us have a good race.

   Now that the time trials are over you will have 2 days to make changes to your race car to make it faster or travel a longer distance.  Remember its up to you on what modification you need to make to make your vehicle go faster and farther.  Its your choice.

Time trials number 2:

Now that you have completed time trial number 2 go to the evaluation sheet and fill it out.  Answer the questions and then turn it in to your instructor.
